2026 Neo Tango Festival

The proceeds from the Neolongas will go to the charity Para Los Niños which helps support underprivileged children in Argentina.

Venues

Friday night, Saturday (all day) and Sunday morning will be at Masonic Lodge, 211 Main Rd, Maroochydore.
Sunday afternoon will be at TORO Bar & Kitchen, 55 Plaza Pde, Maroochydore.

Teachers & DJs

Ron Fenton, Lynn Fraser and Licia Bellassai are the teachers for this weekend of Neo Tango workshops. And the DJs are Ron Fenton, Suzi Teo, Belinda, Anton and Cath.

Friday 24 April

Workshop 1
Time: 6:00pm – 7:00pm

Teacher: Licia Bellassai
Topic: “Synergy and movement: the art of chains set to contemporary music.”
Cost: $20

Workshop 2

Topic: Neo Ganchos …. Traditional Ganchos with a Neo flair. A modern twist on a classic move.
Cost: $20

Lunch
Time: 12:00pm – 2:00pm
Venue: Hotel Maroochydore (next door)

Practilonga & Privates
Time: 2:00pm – 5:00pm
Venue: Masonic Lodge, Maroochydore
DJ: TBA
Cost: $25
Ron can give 30 minute privates at the Hall during this time.

Topic: 1. Neo Leg wraps. Develop exciting new sequences incorporating Neo Leg wraps.
2.2 Enganches. How to integrate Enganches with Giro’s suitable for both Tango and Vals.
